What you will learn

Understand the concepts. Connect the parts.

For non-programmers who want to build products, are just starting out or have got stuck. Develop three foundational skills you can apply to your own projects.

  1. Understand the architecture

Learn the roles of the interface, server and database, and how they work together.

  2. Build infrastructure step by step

Practise the core steps from setup to publishing, and from data connections to user sign-in.

  3. Make informed choices

Understand what each tool does, why it is chosen and how basic security decisions are made.

Programme outline

From fundamentals to infrastructure, in two modules.

Start with how a web application works. Then connect its infrastructure and understand the reasoning behind technology choices.

Plan your route

Before you enroll

Your questions, answered.

Contact us before enrolling about your tools, computer or participation requirements.

Ask about the programme
Will I work on my own project?

We work through a shared example. The aim is to understand architecture, infrastructure development and technology choices, so you can apply them to your own projects.

Which AI tool do I need?

The curriculum is built around Claude Code. Active access to Claude Code, Codex or an equivalent coding AI tool is required. Contact us before enrolling to check compatibility if you plan to use a different tool.

What does the fee cover? Are there additional tool costs?

The programme fee covers both in-person modules, including VAT. You need an active coding AI subscription, which is not included in the fee. Contact us before enrolling to clarify your domain, hosting and other tool requirements.

How do setup and resource access work?

The programme takes place on two separate Saturdays, with practice on your own computer. Contact us before enrolling about your setup needs, work between sessions and access to resources afterwards.

What if I cannot attend one module?

One ticket covers both modules, and the second builds on the application started in the first. Please contact us before enrolling if you cannot attend either date.
