What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open protocol developed by AI company Anthropic to enable Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT, Gemini, and Claude to access external data sources in a standardized way. It has gained popularity in recent months as other AI companies have adopted this standard.

Have you ever asked an AI for something and received the response "I don't have access to this information"? MCP is a "bridge" technology that allows AI to securely access all data in your company.
